These terms of service ("Terms") govern your use of LocalShout ("we", "us", "our"), available at localshout.co.uk and its subdomains, and through our mobile applications. By using our service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

LocalShout is an event discovery platform that aggregates publicly available event listings from venues and promoters in the UK. We display this information to help you find local events.

We do not sell tickets, manage bookings, or act as an event organiser. Event details are sourced from third parties and may change without notice.

2. Accounts

You may use LocalShout without an account. If you choose to sign in (via Google or email), you agree to provide accurate information and keep your account secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the service for any unlawful purpose
Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from our service without permission
Submit false, misleading, or spam content through the event submission feature
Attempt to interfere with the service's operation or security
Impersonate another person or entity

4. User-submitted content

If you submit event information or images through our service, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content on LocalShout. You confirm that you have the right to share any content you submit.

We may remove user-submitted content at our discretion, including content that is inaccurate, inappropriate, or violates these Terms.

5. Push notifications

With your permission, we may send push notifications about event reminders and updates. You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings or within the app.

6. Intellectual property

The LocalShout name, logo, and original content (excluding third-party event data) are our property. Event listings are sourced from publicly available information and remain the property of their respective owners.

7. Event data sources

Event listings on LocalShout are aggregated from publicly available sources, including venue websites, ticketing platforms, and community listings. We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but do not guarantee the completeness or timeliness of third-party data.

We transform and enrich event data to provide a better discovery experience. Original event details remain the property of their respective sources. Where possible, we link back to the original listing.

8. Event organisers and venues

If you are an event organiser or venue and would like to:

Correct or update information about your events
Request removal of your listings
Claim your venue page
Report inaccurate information

Please contact us and we will respond promptly. We aim to resolve all requests within 5 working days.

9. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

Event information is accurate, complete, or up to date
Events listed will take place as described
The service will be available without interruption

Always verify event details with the venue or organiser before attending.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LocalShout shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to losses from attending events listed on our platform.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised terms on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
